My wife and I stumbled into Solar do Vez | Restaurante & Cafe, where Jorgé, whose family has owned and operated the establishment for the past 50 years, welcomed us like long lost cousins; promptly seating us and we were catered to by he and his mother in an unbelievably heartfelt manner, which had us all kissing and hugging as we left. The quality of the food was outstanding, the recipes were truly authentic, and the home cooking touch and superb service won our hearts over. If you want a gorgeous steak, prepared perfectly, with a strong hand of genuine Portuguese family style home cooking, do yourself a favor and make this an absolute must on your visit. My wife and I have been traveling for three weeks in Portugal and Spain, and we have eaten some exceptional meals, and hands down this was our favorite dining experience ¡Bravo!
We order a steak portuguese, suprisingly it's perfectly cooked, it's very good and affordable. The staff are very nice and the atmosphere is good, the place is easy to find. Looking forward to another lunch
Had my first Francesinha sandwich and it was amazing, so tasty. The owner is lovely friendly and spoke good English. Also had homemade soup which was tasty. Very good valve for money, had wine and bread.
Nice little bar restaurant on the main square of Arcos de Valdevez. The people who own it are really nice and fluent in Portuguese, English and French. You can eat the typical Portuguese dishes here. Fish and meat with vegetables and fries and rice If you like to be submerged in the daily life of the city while having a drink on the terras, a very good spot. Prices are very reasonable as you might expect in this kind of place. Expect about 20 euros for a meal with drinks per person
We came there off of the regular lunch time but the fixed us lunch! Mother works in the kitchen! Good food!
Great dinner place after a long tourist day in Lisbon Excellent food, excellent location, excellent stuff, very affordable prices. We loved the grilled fish, and one of the best sangrias we ever had. Would highly recommend. Special thanks to Shakir, our waiter for the dinner, who provided exceptional service.
Went there for an early dinner. The waiter was kind and helpful. The local meat, cachena, was cooked perfectly. The pudim was delicious. Will come back next visit. We had soup, entrees, drinks, coffee and dessert for five.

Llegamos para cenar y tenían la terraza llena y nos avisaron que tenían mucho trabajo; a pesar de ello, nos atendieron y sirvieron muy bien. La espera valió la pena: el producto era de calidad y fresco, desde el pan hasta las verduras y el pescado, todo estaba delicioso; comimos de maravilla y a muy buen precio (quedan pocos lugares así…). Sin duda, si hubiéramos estado más días, hubiéramos repetido! Muy auténtico y muy recomendado!!! Gracias!!
